There are new functions available for Mill/Turn to easily switch into a face, od, or id orientation. This greatly simplifies the use of power tooling.
The move and place tool routines for lathe tools are now based on the center of the tool nose radius.
The Variational Turn Offset menu has been reduced to Finish Turn, Finish with Tool Angle, and Undercut.
The manufacturing paths now have interference checking. A point and a message appear on the screen when the tool image interferes with the offset contour. The tool image must exist prior to the interference check. A script has also been provided for interference check under Variational * Vturn * Images * View Tool Interference.
The finish with undercut now does back angles. The routine will do undercut angles for both sides of the tool. Also, the undercut routine has been improved to provide for a larger range of possible scenarios. If the undercut does not reach the end point of a path, that end point will now extend to the end coordinate of the contour.
Turning paths can now have feed or rapid line moves added to the start or end of the path. Three options have been added for doing this. Diameter moves will start/end at an absolute diameter. Z moves will start/end at an absolute Z location. Incremental moves will start/end a diameter and z distance away. The functions can be found under Variational * Vturn * Modify * Add moves.
Enhanced Sync point manipulation has been added for 4-axis turning.
