What is Automatic Manufacturing Output? Automatic Manufacturing Output, called AMO, is knowledge based engineering for machine tools. AMO automates the process of CNC programming. It is a new technique of streamlining the design and fabrication of machined metal parts. AMO takes into account the entire design/build process for machined parts and, among other things, eliminates the need for 2D drawings by utilizing 3D geometric definition. At the center of this vision is a new NC programming process which automates the generation of NC instructions. This new NC process implements Automated Numerical Control (ANC) and leads to the development of a fully generative multi-axis capability. Our AMO toolkit includes software for operations and personnel management, job costing, machine maintenance and utilization logs, automatic bill of materials, time study, process planning, tool and material management, and CNC output. |
